Newington Arena is home to Central CT Youth Hockey (CCYHA), the largest travel program in the state. CCYHA is a proud member of CT Hockey Conference and USA Hockey.
CCYHA offers teams at the AA, A, B and C levels from Mites through Bantams. CCYHA also offers a learn to play hockey program, advanced mites program, and a house league. Along with these programs, CCYHA hosts the Newington/Berlin/Manchester/Cromwell high school split season midget team as well as the Wethersfield/Middletown/Plainville/Rocky Hill split season midget team. CCYHA also plays host to nationally recognized tier 1 team midget u15, u16 and u18 teams through Selects Hockey Academy at South Kent School.
CCYHA has a 35+ year tradition of providing a safe and competitive environment for young athletes to learn the game of hockey. Our members come from over 40 surrounding towns.
